So this post will be an in-depth review of the device, but I will focus on the differences between the Clarisonic Aria and Mia 2 and also the differences between a few of the brush heads that I have tried.

Other cleansing devices out there mostly rotate or spin on the skin, causing damage to the skin from all the tugging and pulling in the process. Moreover, some devices out there simply vibrate instead of oscillating, this just does not provide enough deep-cleansing.

In terms of the design and look of the device, the Aria is taller and slimmer with a smooth and glossy finish. It comes in white and silver in Australia. My pink one was actually a limited edition color from a collaboration Clarisonic had with Josie Maran for Sephora US.

The Aria is more advanced as it has three speeds, thus the three buttons. The three speeds are Delicate (Speed 1, down button), Universal (Speed 2, default), and Powerful (Speed 3, up button).

Best thing is, you can insert the charging magnet into the drying stand so that you can dry and charge your device at the same time! (See photo) You can also plug the USB cable into your computer, how handy is that?

I think the Aria is much more suitable for people who only seek to use the device at home, and the Mia and Mia 2 for people who would like to be able to bring their device traveling.

I personally have dry skin but somehow my favorites are the Acne and Luxe Cashmere brush heads. I thought I would like Delicate the most! Read more about each of them below:

Flight was delayed 2 times, first from 6:30 to 7, then to 8:45 pm (the last flight out). There was almost NO information provided, and the first indication that something was wrong was the posting on the board. Gate attendants scarcely announced it. There was no effort to assist customers in finding other/ earlier flights and the assistance desk was understaffed with a painfully long line.

This is where things gets interesting. On a firsthand glance it just looks like a big spinning brush, but the way it works is actually more complicated and fairly scientific. Definitely something the engineers who designed it deserve major credit for.

Keep this in mind when you want to use the clarisonic more often, which probably will happen when you start seeing how quickly it starts working. More often than not, its best to back off than double down when you start seeing progress.

Personally, I would begin using it every other day. The absolute maximum amount of times you should be using it is twice daily. By far and large, the people that can pull that off will have pretty tough skin.

A week later things were looking noticeably more refreshed, and the my skin texture had improved quite a bit. From week to week I kept making progress and definitely felt like it was keeping my face clean and super smooth.

Any thoughts on the Foreo? I got one but I think I might have dived in with too much gusto and ended up with irritated skin and lil bumps around the nose area. Thinking of introducing it back again but slower.

Thanks for such a thorough and honest review of the Mia 2. I also own one but always baffled by which replacement head to purchase. I have pretty sensitive skin and no acne problems. But, I do have flaky and dry skin all season round. I use this mostly as a physical exfoliator twice a week before I do any face masks to hydrate my skin. It does cleanse super well and I notice a difference in my skin as it becomes brighter vs normal face washes.Do you have any recommendations on the type of replacement brushes to use or have you tried different kinds? I currently use the Sensitive one and purchased Acne one for my husband. Just wanted to hear your thoughts or experiences on the brush heads if any. Thank you!
