hi susan i thought that the above comment you posted on about your iconizer was a great comment! i have noticed that the digital design tools change but, i wouldn't know how to explain it. embird is great. embird is truly wonderful. embird isn't perfect by any means but it's a program that is so easy to use, you can be an even better artist than you already are. it's really not hard. it is easy. don't listen to all the hate. in my 12 years experience with embird (i purchased the first version at a training class), i have never had any customer service or technical trouble. you have to have an idea of how things work. embird's shop works is the best site for learning and experimenting in the program. if you have any questions, just click on the question mark icon in the top right corner of the screen on the embird home screen. you can also click on help/questions. you should be able to find the answer to your question with embird studio. you are right about using the designer with the cross stitch machine. it is the best way to learn by stitching and embroidering. remember, as an embroiderer, i didn't get to this point without doing a lot of mistakes. do not be afraid to make a mistake. thanks so much for the comment and thanks for the photoshop lesson. kathy

i just looked at the costumes you made for your grandchildren and i am so impressed. how lucky they are to have you for a grandmother. a few years ago, i made the dallas cowboy's cheerleader outfit for one of my college age granddaughters. i used the embird studio shapes to create embroideried stars. i then appliques the stars to the vest. it was quite realistic. iconizer is not showing my design icons when i view them in windows explorer. please check the following:
